Amanda
has always been intrigued by the human condition- the purpose and mystery
of existence. Her quest started at a young age with the practice of yoga. The philosophy of Chinese medicine answered fundamental questions on life and the structure and functioning of the human body. She studied Acupuncture at the International College of Oriental Medicine- a full time 4 year course. After completing her thesis she graduated in 1991 and has been practicing since then in East Sussex and London. She is a fully insured member of the British Acupuncture Council. The understanding of the philosophy of Acupuncture requires constant study and is a life long interest. The aim of Amandas treatments is to bring her clients to a state of internal balance, from where they can find joy and purpose for their life. After the births of her two daughters, Amanda became fascinated by the whole process of pregnancy and birth. |
She trained as an Active birth teacher and has run pregnancy and birth classes since 1995. She has helped many parents to be, through the process, challenge and joy that pregnancy, labour and birth brings. She is also intrigued by what this journey means for us all, not only with the physical experience of birth, but what this can mean when applied to all aspects of our lives. There is a birth process in all that we do. |
